Goals
 

To pursue the quality of excellence in education;
to give identity, voice and exposure to the particular
quality of rural schools; to enhance the quality of rural
schools; to enhance the quality of life unique in the
rural community.

To inform the legislature, the state board of education,
and other such groups or agencies of
concerns, needs, and research of the association
so as to effectively influence legislation, rules,
and policy makers.

To formulate and promote plans, proposals, subsidies,
in service, and curricula which will be in the
best interest of the membership.

To develop a data base through research and
compilation of existing data sources.

To inform and solicit support of the
membership in organizations.

To support the integrity of rural school districts.

To support and actively participate in efforts and
activities of the National Rural Education Association.

To provide scholarships and other benefits to
Texas Rural Schools.
