APSI Participant Grants

College Board awards grants for qualifying teachers new to an AP subject to attend an AP Summer Institute (APSI).

To qualify you must:

  • be teaching an AP course for the first time in 2026-27
  • not have attended an APSI or received College Board funding for the same course
  • not have received professional learning funding from your school, district, or state

What Participant Grants Cover

  • AP participant grants cover College Board–endorsed AP Summer Institutes in the United States.
  • Participant grants cover the cost of tuition only. All other APSI costs (including but not limited to travel, lodging, food, or graduate credit) are the responsibility of the grant recipient.
