This needs to get in front of Texas Legislators

This is what school administrators and staff do when their community needs them.  It happens every time - every flood, tornado, hurricane, wildfire, and others such as the West fertilizer plant explosion.  "School People" rise to the top and are the first to help when kids are involved because it's in your nature and it's what you do.

Robotics Opportunities from our partners at RECF-Check this out!

We have partnered with RECF for several years now, and they have given out over 50 high school Robotics kits and competition fees to TREA member district schools.  Act quick to take advantage of their grant opportunities.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking to get started with high school robotics in Texas?  Well look no further!  Thanks to the Texas Workforce Commission, the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation has numerous grants available to help you and your students get started with competitive robotics!
To get started, first go to RobotEvents.com and create an account.  Once created and logged in, you will need to verify your email address. Once you have a verified email, please click on the Grants tab in the upper left side of the page, or access by going to RobotEvents.com/grants. Choose your state and click search, and you will be able to see the grants available for your state. If you are looking for the TWC application, make sure to choose the V5RC option (VEX V5 Robotics Competition).  Please note that the TWC grants are ONLY for high school teams.
If you are brand new or starting a new team, you could be eligible for thousands of dollars of equipment.  This is only while our grant funds are available though, so make sure to get started as soon as possible!
Have any questions about starting teams or what it's like competing at an event? The REC Foundation is here for you.  Feel free to reach out to Raul Torres (west half of Texas) or Bobbi Mitchell (east half of Texas) for any questions about getting started.
For any grant related questions or issues, please reach out to their Grants team at [email protected].

Please make sure to utilize our Regional Support Request Form for any team or event updates.
